Robot-Assisted Language Learning: Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality into English Tour Guide Practice

This action research created an application system using robots as a tool for training English-language tour guides. It combined artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) technologies to develop content tours 3D VR environment the AI Unity plug-in programming. Students learned orally interact with robot act guide various destinations. The qualitative methods included observation, interviews, self-reporting of learning outcomes. Two students voluntarily participated in study. intervention lasted ten weeks. results indicated teaching effectiveness robot-assisted language (RALL). acknowledged value RALL had positive attitudes toward it. contextualized increased their motivation engagement learning, perceived that could help autonomy, enhance interaction, provide active experience. implications study are has potential it provides alternative opportunity students.
